ABOUT ME

Posing like an author, ready for the lau

Hello dear readers,

My name’s Rebecca, and I am a 25 year old communications worker, vintage fashion enthusiast and part-time cripple* living in Glasgow, Scotland.

I fell in love with vintage fashion in my late teens, and since then have developed a passion for the clothes and music of the 1950s. The exciting thing about moving to this city from a small town is that it’s given me the freedom to explore my love of vintage further.

I endeavour to blog about a wide range of topics, from fashion to my work in the charity sector to Glasgow’s flourishing jazz and blues scene. However, I also like to write about what it’s like to experience all those things while living with a chronic illness.

As a teenager, I was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. It’s a connective tissue disorder which affects my joints. As a result, I live with chronic pain, fatigue and occasional mobility problems.

So come with me on my journey, navigating disability, modern city life and old-fashioned clothing, as I limp along in my heels.

*P.S. That’s our word.
